Our niece Layla-Lily meant the world to everyone. A much loved and wanted little girl who will be sadly missed by family & friends.
Layla-lily had a very serious condition called Edwards Syndrome which meant her time on earth was not meant to be. A beautiful and much longed for daughter to Daddy Karl and Mummy Ashleigh.
This is a poem for a special little girl called layla-lily:-
If tears could build a stairwell & memories were a lane,
I would walk right up to heaven & bring you home again,
No farewell words were spoken no time to say good-bye,
You were gone before I knew it, & only God knows why?

hi princess i was talking about you the other night and you made me cry remembering your little floppy hat and your tiny hands.
well its coming up to christmas and i always think of you at this time of year more than ever me, jack, mummy and Isabelle went to have breakfast with santa the other morning you would of loved it but i know you was there with us in spirit. isabelle was scared of santa she cried when he talked to her Jack being Jack though wouldn't leave him alone if he wasn't mivering santa he was fussing over Isabelle but i have to say he does a good job of looking after her for you.
Hope you had a good 3rd birthday up in heaven and i realy hope you managed to catch at least one of your balloons because they had trouble taking off this year.
I hope you have been a good girl and santa visits heaven and leaves you a nice presents and a big kiss from us all.

sorry i havn't been to visit for awhile,,, i know you have been reminding me in your own little way, and you've been playing tricks on your mummy again (the keys) we've both decided its coz we've not been to visit for a while,we've not forgot you though babe,it was meadows birthday party me and mummy took jack and isabelle they had a great time but i dont think isabelle was to impressed that jack kept going off and leaveing her to play with the big boys,me and mummy had a go of the slide aswell think we had a better time than the kids,,,but as always it was never the same without you,,,,but you was there with us in our hearts love you all the world princess always Danielle xxxxxxxxxx
I stood by your bed last night
I came to have a peep,
I could see that you were crying
and you found it hard to sleep,
I whispered to you softly
as you brushed away a tear,
its me I havn't left you, i'm well
i'm fine, i'm here,
I was close to you a breakfast
I watched you pour your tea,
you were thinking of the many times
your hands reached out to me,
I was with you at the shops today
you're arms were getting sore,
I longed to take your parcels
I wish I could do more,
I was with you at my grave today
you tend it with such care,
I want to reassure you, that i'm not
lying there,
I walked with you towards the house
as you fumbled for your key,
I gently put my hand on you
I smiled and said 'its me'
you looked so very tired
and sank into a chair,
I tried so hard to let you know
that I was standing there,
its possible for me to be
so near to you every day,
to say to you with certainty
I never went away,
you sat there very quietly then smiled
I think you knew,
in the stillness of the evening
I was very close to you,
now the day is over.....I smile
and watch you yawning,
and say good night, god bless,
i'll see you in the morning,
and when the time is right for you
to cross the brief divide,
i'll rush across to greet you
and we'll stand side by side,
I have so many things to show you
there is so much for you to see,
be patient, live your journey out
then come home to be with me.
